It has come to our attention that certain Rinnai Energysaver Model RHFE-556T and RHFE-556FTRG Gas Air Warmers (which use natural gas or LPG as fuel) contain gaskets which may fail under some operating conditions. There is a small risk that a gasket may lose its sealing characteristics and carbon monoxide may leak into the premises where the Air Warmer is located.
As a precautionary measure and as a responsible supplier, we are undertaking a programme to replace the gaskets in all Rinnai Energysaver Model RHFE-556T and RHFE-556FTRG Gas Air Warmers sold by us from 2003 onwards, free of charge, using CORGI-registered engineers.
Drugasar Limited were the previous distributors of Rinnai Energysaver Air Warmers in the UK. If you bought an RHFE-556T of RHFE-556FTRG Model Gas Energysaver Air Warmer from Drugasar Limited between 2000 and 2003, please follow the procedures below so that we can liaise with Drugasar in relation to the affected models sold by them.
If you use or have purchased a Rinnai Energysaver Air Warmer you will need to check the model number and serial number. The model number and serial number are found on the data label located on the bottom of the right-hand panel as shown on the diagram below. The format of the serial number is YY.MM.unit number. Any Rinnai Energysaver Model RHFE-556T or RHFE-556FTRG with a serial number containing the year (YY) digits “00” to “07” may be affected.

The Helpline staff will validate whether you have an affected product and will arrange for a CORGI-registered engineer to visit you and replace the gasket in the Air Warmer.
Rinnai takes the safety and quality of its products extremely seriously. We are demonstrating this commitment by undertaking this programme. We thank you for your co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience. For any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us:
